With the use of electroporation, the therapeutic protein is transferred in a host cell.

With the help of this technology, it has become easy for the gene to be transferred in a region where the expression can be silenced with the effect of epigenetic factors. After the transfection, finally, the selection pressure is put on both sides of the cells to ensure the survival of cells which were transfected with genes. The formulation development was a difficult task but now it has become easier to develop therapeutic proteins with the help of upstream cell culture. Regular advancements will be made as the new scientists and researchers are entering in the biopharmaceutical world. There are chances that in the coming years, the costs of cell culture processes will be reduced which is the goal of various companies. The revenue can only be increased it the costs are reduced and that’s why the cell culture process is a really important part of the biotech and biopharma companies both at present time.
